Just to prove I can finish things off completely here's the tshirt edging sewn onto the right tshirt!!! Yes, I have been known to sew onto the wrong one in the past!!!
Now this tshirt was a really, really cheap one I got in America last year but the quality is really good. I've bought this brand before on our trips 'over the pond'. Thing is, this really cheap shirt now looks slightly smarter for it's bit of tatting. Well, I think so!!!
I used my very favourite thread to sew it on. Well, let me clarify that. It's my favourite for looks when I've used it but not my favourite for using!!! Not easy to use is the invisible thread. Why? Well cause you can't see it - it's really invisible!!!! A good light, plenty of cussing words and a firm word with myself and I can do it!!!!
I've teven atted with this thread before a few years ago - here's a link. Not one of my favourite things to tat with!!!

Looks really lovely, great way to smarten up a tea shirt and it unusual .
Margaret
It looks absolutely wonderful, pink and brown! Worth the Effort.
I love it! The thread color is perfect, of course!
Very Pretty, Jane. Enjoy!
Very cute, really jazzed the shirt right up! How do you attach the edging on and keep it from moving while you're sewing? I'd like to do something like this, but alas, no sewing machine.
Stephanie - I pin the edging in place and then hand stitch. Never thought of getting the sewing machine out as it's quicker to hand sew!!! I'm lazy!!
Very very pretty Jane. May we have your pattern? I'd love to try this, as it is very sharp looking.
Hi Madtatter - the pattern's already on my site - here's the link. It's a mindless one to do!!!!
And a PS: in all the pictures I have seen of Pink Cocoa, the thread looked to have white bits!! - also, in the earlier picture, it looked GREEN - so this is probably the very first accurate picture of the colour I've seen, and I love it. Goes to show that you can't always trust your trusty monitor.
It's on my shopping list, for the next time I drive up the mountain to Crochet Australia!
Great!
But I am sure glad I did not have to contend with that blasted invisible thread!
Hate the stuff, but it sure works. I used to use it on the baby socks, till I lost my temper one day and.... you don't need to know!
Fox : ))
You did an awesome job on that shirt and edging!! :)
I hadn't thought of putting tatting on a t-shirt before, but I like it. Thanks for sharing.
Oh, Heather, I've been doing edgings for tshirts for many, many years and using HWT too. I've one favourite yellow one which I must take a photo of to show you all. Daredn't think how old it is!!!
lindo esse trabalho. Faço Frivolitá e vou seguir seu blog.
