Once a parrot, then a cockatoo and now a pair of budgerigars!!!!! These have long since left home and gone to live with somebody who really loves budgies and who I knew would give them a good home. They're both worked in a number 80 (or thereabouts) thread.
Who's a pretty boy, then? I must make another for myself sometime!!!
So, I suppose there may be one or two people in Tat Land who would like the pattern? Maybe or maybe not. Anyway, you're gonna get the choice of whether you do or don't take it!!!! Here's the link!!

You have created a whole aviary - wonderful!
Love them! - so there has to be space found on my bag to fit a few more birds then - maybe Norman and Aileen will squish up a bit.
I have had budgies on and off all my life and I would love the pattern, I know of someone who would like one, my mother and it's her 90th birthday coming up so I could make her a card with one on, if that's ok with you.

Their nibs are the most attractive part of the pattern!=)))

They look great!!

The boys are doing just fine in their new home. Thank you for them. I love them as much as the real thing. So looking forward to make a few of my own.
The boys have adjusted well to their new home and I love them as much as the real thing! Thank you so for them and can't wait to try my hand at them.
All of your birds are mighty fine looking. I had several budgies when I was a child and these very much remind me of them. Great job! And thanks for the pattern.
A little funny - you must have mentioned birds enough recently that one of the adds on the side bar is for walk-in, expandable bird cages :-) I'm glad I wont need one for your birds*grin*
Love them and now I can't wait to try them. That is after I get the yard work done.
You often use the term 'gobsmacked', and that's what I am! I can't believe you've written and diagrammed the pattern already! The drawing alone is worthy of being framed! Then there's the accommodation you make for frontside/backside. And, of course, you tatted the four birds! I constantly remind myself that we are the same age. You continue to inspire me, but I really can't keep up with you! You're like the energizer bunny!
What amazes me about the parrot is how the split rings in those perfect colors bring about the outline of the wings, body and head. I'm also intrigued by the variegated thread you used for the budgies. They both have black in them? Size 80? Amazing! That would intimidate me!)
Aha, you're wrong there, Kathy!!! I must've tatted at least a dozen birds before I was happy with the stitch count!!! Keeps me out of mischief - and the pub!!!!!
There is black in some of the small threads - probably they're old ones. I'll have to have a look.
of course people want the pattern! not just one or two i betcha... thanks for sharing this cutie bird, jane.
My goodness, Jane! The next one is cuter than the adorable one that preceeds it. I love all of these!

Jane!! Thank you for the (TWEET) Birdie pattern. I have a little green cheek conure so this will make a nice tatted conure. You are Fantastic!!
I really like them and will be tatting one.
I think it's terrific how versatile this pattern is. Thank you so much for sharing it!
These are really darling. Here in the USA, we call budgies Parakeets, and these look just like them! (I had one growing up!)
very convincing - they're great!
What a magnificent bird, many thanks for sharing
