Another view of the motif!!

This one caused me a lot of heartache with the final ring.

One suggestion is to read the pattern CAREFULLY!!!!!

Wouldn't you think that after more than 50 years with a shuttle in my hand I'd learn to READ the pattern carefully? Even my own?

The last part of this one isn't hard but the first part of the last ring is fiddly.

I DO like this pattern though and the picture shows both sides of version two. This is
version one that I posted some days ago.

  1. Very nice! This version is my favorite. Now a question for you: How do you tat the last ring so it interlocks? Every time I try a pattern like this, I can't figure out how to do the last ring. It ends up laying on top instead of interlocking, therefore messing up the whole motif. Arrgh!

  2. I like the interlocking. It seems like alot of brain power must have been used when you created this. Super neat effect.

  3. This is very cool. I can't tell where the fiddly section is...so you did a great job.

I too have that same problem with following patterns...even if they are my own LOL!

  4. I like this too...think I'd want to make the innermost section interlocking too...maybe in the other direction??? I need time to play!

  5. Lovely, I think I like this version better. Here the colors don't seem to fight against eachother as much, they are more equals.

  6. This looks astoundingly difficult! Pretty, though! I love the fact, that with fifty years of tatting under your belt, you still find it challenging. That is heartening! Fox : )
