Of course yesterday's pattern doesn't have to be used for a bookmark!!! Even I've worked that out!!!
Here are a few made with some thread which has been in my stash for ages. I've no idea what it is but it's worked out at about a size fifty, I guess.
I've no idea what I'm going to do with these wee bugs but I'm sure they'll find themselves being used for something soon enough!!!
They are so pretty, Jane, I love that thread.
ReplyDeletethey are awesome- love the colorplay
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty butterflies!! I just printed the pattern and hope to make some over the holidays!! Thank you for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteThose are sooooooooo pretty! I've downloaded the pattern & will try it out this evening. Thanks again for sharing it with us!
ReplyDeleteI can see these used on crazy quilt blocks, or appliqued onto all kinds of items or mounted to a pin-back & pinned to a jacket pocket. Hows about adding a jumpring for a pretty pendant? A white butterfly would be pretty on my Chrismas tree, too. A flurry of little butterflies mounted on a journal cover would be a really nice gift.
You have a very pretty rabble of butterflies! I just love the colors! I'm not sure when I'll get to it, but I've already printed off the pattern.
ReplyDeleteSO PRETTY!! Katie has some wonderful ideas - I especially like the journal. I imagine one cover in some pretty fabric with a smattering of these pretty flutterbys. I also think they would look pretty on the end of a wire and added to a floral arrangement. They seem small enough to stay fluttery and not go floppy
ReplyDelete:) Ann
No new book then! Well, the butterflies are lovely, just by themselves!
