Finally assembled. Let me tell you about this.
This was originally the lanyard I made to wear at Palmetto Tat Days last September. Here's a previous post about it.
I'd left a picot at each end with the idea that eventually it would become a pendant.
The motif in the centre is the one (well, the very central part) that I taught at Palmetto and the pattern is here.
As the original motif was made to fit in a 1 3/4" ring (which would be a bit unbalanced with the 'bulk' of the lanyard) I sorted through my stash and found a 2 1/2" pink bracelet. Another round had to be added to make it 'fit'.
Very, very nice, Jane, as are all your creations. Karen
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I'm amazed at what your brain cell #3 does for you. I may feel the urge to borrow it some day! ; )
ReplyDeleteNice use of beads in this Jane and I like the way the lanyard attaches in two places, not single central spot. It will help keep the pendant from twisting on itself so much.
ReplyDeleteAre you going to name this "the Erin Pendant"???? You know...because she is such a PINK gal!
I'm so glad the Tatting Gremlins didn't disrubt your brain cell#3 too bad and your found everything to create this lovely necklace! It is pretty in pink and would look great in aqua or black with crystals.(maybe a hint for your Esty store?)
ReplyDeleteLooking good, Jane. I just love how you place the beads in your designs. The motif is just fantastic. I think I need to get myself one of those quick thinking brain cells!
ReplyDeleteVery, very pretty!
ReplyDeleteFox : )
I must say it looks much better than the picture, it really sparkles in real life!
ReplyDeleteI like this, it is really different ~ from say, a rooster? LOL
ReplyDeleteI love tatting with beads added. Sometimes the beads become the dominate feature and the tatting secondary; I don't like that approach very much; although, I understand the reasoning in jewelry.
