It was a wet, cold and miserable day here in my neck of the woods. I trotted down to the Buzz cafe again and met up with Julia to take her forwards on her second adventure in tat land.
She's doing SO WELL. It's wonderful to find I can still teach new tatters and that they'll even come back for more. Yesterday we did chains, picots and joining picots. We'll meet again on Friday (my last official visit to the Buzz for now) and hopefully 'tidy her up'. After that I've suggested we meet when she needs me - still at the Buzz. I didn't take any photos at this session but I will show you 'wabbit'.
When I was leaving last Tuesday I noticed they'd got a tombola near the door so I bought a few tickets - I can never resist a tombola!!! This is what I won and took home in the pouring rain. The second and third pictures were taken over the next day or so when Nick had 'been playing' with wabbit!!!
Then wabbit met bear and I'm NOT going to say what happened next!!!!!
I think your wabbit needs a tatted waistcoat.....
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute wabbit. He and the bear look good together in their hats, like they're ready to go places. I agree with Maureen, the wabbit would look really sharp in a tatted waistcoat.
ReplyDeleteWabbit and bear are very cute. What is a tombola? I'd also like to know just what a git is. I've been hearing it more lately.
ReplyDeleteDon't you have tombola's in America? A lot of raffle tickets are put in a bin and you pick one (or whatever) out. Depends on what you pay for. If a ticket ends in a 0 or 5 then you win something that has that number on. Mostly you don't win!!! Git? Here's a link!! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Git_(slang)
ReplyDeleteI only know about tombolas through video games and books. ive never seen one though. I like your wabbit though. :o)
ReplyDeleteOh how cute!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI think Nick ought to grow up!!! Perhaps you should buy him another soft toy for his birthday!
ReplyDeleteSally, I don't think another soft toy will help Nick grow up. The Wabbit is cute, but dressing up with a waistcoat with tatted trim would be very elegant, but if wabbit dresses up, then bear needs new clothes too.
ReplyDeleteI admit I had to look up what a tombola was, although I kind of figured out it must have been a raffle. Never heard that word before! It's always fun to read your posts with your English phrases and slang!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute bunny! I love stuffed animals but have to stay away from the store aisles where they are, as I want to bring them all home!
You seem to be having the same weather that we are having. It's kind of disappointing after the warm weather in March, but we did get a head start on our yard work.
Awww a bunny. Such a treat going with you to the Buzz. Since my hand wasn’t quite working; I read all of your blog entries as a long journal this morning (and I blame you for this downpour of rain we have, and even a small tornado in the San Joaquin Valley!) and was captivated. I want to go to the Buzz and sneak about in the theater tooooooo. These past few blog entries have been a treat....keep writing!
