This really does look like a car crash to me - pretty colours but a car crash! Actually, no - it's a shuttle crash.
Now I'm going to ask you a question. What am I doing here? Doesn't it look a mess? Well actually I'm hoping it does turn out to be better than it looks in the end. If not then I'll have wasted a lot of time!!

Not a crash! It's a tatted Picasso! :o)
ReplyDeleteIt's a butterfly in a pansy field and I love it!
ReplyDeleteEr, interesting. I look forward to seeing what it turns into!!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the beginning of something glorious to me!
ReplyDeleteWell, that butterfly will need a proboscis if it's to have any good of those flowers!
ReplyDeleteWe tatters, of course, don't much care about the proboscis--good thing, huh?

It looks interesting to me it's a butterfly with a spray of flowers, roses?

It's still a lot tidier than my attempts.....

It's a flowering vine with a butterfly on it. Make some more flowers and tidy up the ends, and it will be beautiful.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of photos in Tatting Artistry in Thread by Helma Siepmann -- kind of doing your own thing with a butterfly added.
ReplyDeleteBlocking fixes everthing. :)
ReplyDeletebhappetat (love the name, BTW) - yes I guess blocking does fix things but a well written pattern shouldn't need any blocking at all IMHO. This makes this one a very bad pattern. When it's finished, though, it's fine but it's not one I'd ever publish!!!
ReplyDeletesomething with pansies "wrapped" around a butterfly?!
