Playing with the same pattern again. I'm still trying to do alternative centres to the rings in the original.
Messing with block tatting with a difference too. Can you see what I've done?
Instead of regular block tatting I'm using lock chains!!!! Now this is MY technique and nobody's to use it and IF they do they've GOT to mention my name and ask permission yada, yada, yada.

Just kidding!! Honest. TEASING!!!!! Well you know I don't take this craft or anything very seriously - specially myself!!!
I'm working on the technique page for this type of block tatting and will have it completed for tomorrow - promise!!!!! It took a bit of fiddling to work out the best way to do it but I think I got there in the end. All I've got to do today is work out a conversion so any block tatting can be changed to lock chain block tatting.
I've also got two new designs bubbling away using this technique.

Very clever! Now I guess you want me to learn block tatting! ;-)
ReplyDeleteInteresting centre! Who'd thought of that?!
ReplyDeleteLovely pattern, clever ideas.

Let's see what happens
ReplyDeleteVery interesting!! :)
ReplyDeleteNifty! That makes a really interesting effect, especially with two different colors. I'll be certain to mention your name -- once you post the technique page so I can do it just right...
ReplyDeleteDon't you DARE, Marty. That was a joke. I prefer anonymity not fame. Infamy is good, though - LOL.
ReplyDeleteYou could call it the block of Jane. Maybe that's a bad idea...Over time this name would probably get shortened to a bj and that could result in some very embarrassing situations. I suspect the Jane block is the better name, or perhaps it could just be a lock block?
ReplyDelete(one year when i was driving to the fingerlakes seminar they were going to search my car because the border guard thought I meant tattooing. Once I explained it was lace the cavity search was cancelled.)
Hey, since it's a snowflake, do you think it would work to make a little hexagonal block in the centre? Lengthen the chain for three rows, then reduce the length for 2-3 rows? :-)
