Roar, roar in a wimpish way

This is the penultimate doodle from the third cell belonging to my brain!!!  This is a little lion.  Again not a straightforward tat but quite cute.  Actually I think this one could've done with a bit of a hair cut!!!

Wonder where I've left my scissors.

Talking scissors - I've got two pairs of scissors (one pair kindly given to me by our own Diane) which reside by my chair in tat corner.  Why two pairs?  Simply so I can find one to use!!!  Both pairs seem to have a life of their own and regularly totally disappear even though they're right beside me!!!  Ah, maybe it's cause I'm SOOO untidy!!!

  1. Your lion is so cute! I should probably take a break from my doily to tat something simple, but I'm addicted to works-in-progress!

I believe as my mother does, that one can never have too many scissors. Sadly, I don't have one to go with each shuttle. ;-)

    1. That situation would be an enormous, dangerous arsenal! : ))

  2. That is a cute lion. I see several differing techniques in him.

  3. Good idea to have 2 pairs. Mine regularly disappear, I spend tatting time looking for them! Love the lion.

  4. Lol... you are so creative!!!!
I also have two scissors (for tatting, one for sewing, five in my kitchen one of which is tucked away in a hiding place so I can find it when the others have sprouted legs). One is about 2.5 inches long, and can be awkward to use. My prefered tool is actually seemstress snippers. They are great for snipping very close to the last stitch without cutting the work. Their design gives much better control than scissors.

  5. Great cute lion, talking of sissors I have three pairs on the coffee table with my tatting, and they like my hooks have a life of their own disappearing on the settee.
