Edging to six motif mat

Well I knew it 'needed something' so this is what the 'something' turned out to be!!!!
I used the same colours as I did on the middle motif.  With beads added, of course!!!  I didn't want the piece to be round either so decided to 'go with' the dips and dives of the total shape.

Now it can go in the box in the cupboard!!!!

  10. Just gorgeous!! Love the dips and dives - and beads! This just CAN'T go in a box and be hidden away! I'm envisioning a large black tote bag or pillow with this beauty sewn on! Of course, that would involve a lot of sewing!

  12. Somehow I knew this was going to be one of those multi colour mats but what a shame to put it in a box and hide it away

  13. Thanks everybody and particularly to Jess who had a free shipping 'deal' on the threads and 'forced' me into buying the variegated ones. I enjoyed working so much with the colours. It will get put in a box in a cupboard as I've nowhere to display such a piece and also because once something is finished I'm just not interested in it anymore!!!

  15. Hi Jane,
Absolutely gorgeous! All the colours work so well. The beads add a lovely touch. I think the edging completes it so well.

  16. Let me know the size of it and I will look for a frame, as Geraldine says it just can't go into a box too beautiful for that.
