Yet another gecko!!!!
This one's for Sharren Morgan who asked whether I'd used this colour of thread. Well I hadn't - but now I have!!! It's Lizbeth number 164 - Blue River Glades.
I'm still doing the geckos with no real idea on what they're going to be used for - but plans are now beginning to form in BC3's little bit of my brain.

I'm wondering whether to put them on clothing as I've said before - OR to explore the possibility of making bags for them to live on!!!! Those would have to wait for the 'sewing season' which starts again in the Spring when it'll again (hopefully!) be warm enough to have the sewing machine out in the conservatory again. The problems of living in a 'not very big' terraced house!!!!
He is gorgeous! Love his colours :).
ReplyDeleteLOVE the way he turned out - excellent color choice, Jane!!
ReplyDeleteMake a tablecloth and sew them all around the hem!
ReplyDeleteI cut a pictures out of a magazine once because I keep pictures in a note book and toss the magazine away, to reduce my piles of junk, any way, it's a picture of lizards on a curtain, It's looked really neat the silhouette of them, I would sew them on a curtain. You English :) what is a conservatory doing in a house? ha ha ha
ReplyDeleteOh we shorten that name up quite a bit and call it a "sun room" :) I guess google translate has a ruff time with this.
DeleteMadtatter80 - a conservatory is a glass room addition to a house. In our case much needed as terraced houses don't get a lot of light. We don't heat ours so it's too cold to work out there in the winter.
ReplyDeleteWonderful colour, just right for a gecko! The good thing is, they'll stay still quite happily until you decide what to do with them.
ReplyDeleteI love this gecko in this colour way, looks quite real.

Next time I am in your house I am going to pinch some thread off you!
ReplyDeleteSo many lovely colour combinations and the geckos really show them off. What a fabulous idea geckos on a curtain (Madtatter80), especially those thin curtains that you can see through.
Gecko looks like a croc now! My favourite clour!
ReplyDeleteI'm coming down to do the same thing Sally Kerson!😃
ReplyDeletePigmini and Sally - you keep your mucky mitts off my thread!!!! I have it kept under lock and key so nobody can get in my cupboard. Tilly guards it too!!!
ReplyDeleteSally... Think we can get past Tilly???
ReplyDeleteDefinately Pigmini! Tilly always run away when she sees me anyway!
DeleteI believe you could tat a gecko out of every color of Lizbeth thread, and I would never tire of looking at them. I think a bag with a gecko on it would be fabulous!
