Just feeling in the mood for small projects as I'm at that 'can't settle' stage before the trip over the pond!!!!
I thought I'd try the Flurry Heartache out to see if I could improve on it or even follow it myself!!!! This time I didn't use beads as it's for another project - perhaps and maybe that wouldn't work with beads. I MISS my beads.
It looks very elegant, actually - no picots, no beads, let the design do the work.
ReplyDeletelove the thread you used! as Maureen said it looks very elegant the way it is.
ReplyDeletesometimes less is more, and this is one of those times. Looks very nice Jane
ReplyDeletelove this heart have to tat it now :)
ReplyDeleteVery nice Jane!!!
ReplyDeleteI like the flower that is created in the centre !
ReplyDeleteBut the sequence of elements baffles me. I need to stare harder and jolt my brain to rummage through my repertoire (still woefully lacking) of tatting techniques . Wonder if I'll be able to figure it out ?!
Wish me luck ;-)
Well, muskaan, you don't need to!!! The pattern has been on my site for years and there's a link on this post to it!!!
ReplyDeleteJane, this is just a game I play to challenge myself in my tatting learning process. It forces me to recall & apply that I've learnt and then check to see how far it is correct :-)
DeleteThank you - I've downloaded the pattern but have deliberately not read it so far. Will now sit down to try and 'solve' the puzzle .
Good luck - this one will give you a challenge!!!!
DeleteDear Jane,
DeleteThis Really was a Very Tough one ! I even cheated - looked at the techniques you had used ;-)) With the SCMR, And the variegated colours as clues, I still could not decipher the sequence. Now, sitting with the image on a big screen, I have Finally 'cracked' the Jane Code ! It took me over 2 days ;-)))
This is a Very Clever design, as are most of your patterns.
I've said it before, but never tire of reiterating, that joining your 2014 TIAS was the Best learning experience in tatting - it leap-frogged to another dimension, with the techniques learned - a 'whole new world'.
Thank you again, for sharing all your knowledge, skills, designs, ....
I keep coming back to refer to your tutorials & many of my posts have a link to your Tips & Techniques pages ;-)
Wonderful colored heart!!! :)
