Little box!

I'd forgotten this little box. This is a pattern that Judith Connors taught at the Fringe Tat Days. I was lucky enough to be in her lesson and started it off there. Finished it when I was at Terry's house and finally stiffened it when I got home to the UK.

It's a sweet little box and a joy to make. The flower on the top wasn't a good choice to make so one day I'll replace it with something better.

  4. Love the delightful 3-D pattern from Judith! I remember seeing the class advertised on Fringe Tatters website. (It just dawned on me that Judith had to travel all the way from Australia!) I think your flower looks fine! Is she going to publish this pattern?

    1. It's not actually Judith's pattern. She had permission from the designer to use it. Perhaps you could contact Judith to ask?

    2. Thanks so much for the reply! Judith is a member of Craftree, so I can contact her there! As you probably know, I'm very interested in 3-D tatting!

  6. It's really wonderful! And the colors make my heart leap. I just adore something purplish and rose. Does it take long usually to make a 3-D one?
    Sincerely,

    1. I'm afraid I can't help this time, Claudia! I started it while I was in Canada and finished it when I got home! It's an easy pattern and very enjoyable to do.

    3. The thread is an old Manuela one which is no longer in production but I've a feeling that there's a similar one now available in Lizbeth. It was my favourite colourway for years.
