Just heard a few minutes ago (when I woke up!) that the Dora Young reprint is now available.
Heidi sent me this link so you can buy directly from her but she's also sent copies to Handy Hands too although they won't be there for another week or two - depending on the USA mail, I suppose!!!
Funnily I'd just started a new adventure with one of the patterns yesterday as I've been dying to see how it would look in two colours. I may have to start again, though, as I think I've made the picots a bit too big on this.
The reason I started was because I heard a week ago that the book was at the printers and that Heidi would be sending me a copy. I'll tell you ALL about it when it arrives. The excitement is intense in my corner of Tat Land and I'll be keeping a close eye open for the postman!!!
Thanks for the link, just sent my order
ReplyDeleteTickled to see a motif that looks like beads- but no beads were "harmed or killed " in the process; )
ReplyDeleteSo lovely motif :)
ReplyDeleteI could get to the website but couldn't send an order. None of the links on the whole site to send an email worked for me. As the book page offers delivery to the US or the UK, I suppose the book can't be delivered to other countries. Thus, no need for an email. Too bad :/ I hope a digital version will be made one day. Who knows...
crafty sylvie - I think you can get the book to any country - try emailing Heidi directly. Maybe the site was just busy when you tried? There's an 'email me' link on there. If not just get back to me and I'll see what I can do to help. Can't have you missing out.
DeleteThanks so much for your reply :)
DeleteIt seems the problem cant't be solved by the usual "wait a little and try again" trick. I've kept trying since yesterday but all the "email me" tags lead me nowhere, there seems to be no link attached. Which or course is impossible, but there we are, they don't work for me! It must be something wrong with my computer of course; I can browse on the site, just can't send emails! And my knowledge of computers doesn't include the solution to this. To be honest, it doesn't include much...
OK, let's see if you can contact Heidi directly using her email address!!! Here it is tatkrazy@gmail.com
DeleteComputers can be a pain in the tatting shuttle sometimes!!! I feel for you as it's so frustrating. Good luck - please let me know how you get on.
"Computers can be a pain in the tatting shuttle sometimes!!!" Wow, I love this phrase. Very dainty and yet says exactly what it means :D
DeleteI've just sent a mail directly to Heidi. Thanks a lot for your help Jane :)
You are welcome, craftie sylvie. I hope it all works out for you.
DeleteHow exciting! Thanks for the link!
ReplyDeleteOrdered! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteLOVE that motif, Jane! When I saw it, I immediately thought, that's Jane's work. . .your work is so distinctive!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Texas Tatter. What a compliment to be compared to Dora. I wonder if she ever used two colours on her motifs?
DeleteThat motif looks great!!! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful motif :). How exciting about the reprint!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jane. I'll be looking for more Dora Young two colored patterns from you - and the rest of us who have ordered her book.
ReplyDeleteOh my!! Wondering is the small medallion for that book??? If not is it in your patterns???
ReplyDeleteLori
It's the start of one of Dora's stunning patterns, Lej619. Definitely not one of mine!!
