I loved watching the slideshow and I'm also intrigued to read what was said on other people's bio's too. Particularly the spelling in some cases!!

ReplyDeleteIt has taken me a full day to 'absorb' your prior post in my brain, especially when I realized where the exhibition was held. This is a well-known and respected Lace Museum and retail store in a very large building in Berkeley, California, near San Francisco) As far as I know, it's one of the only 'lace-related' retail stores in the world which includes a museum devoted to lace (including tatting!) and textiles. I have never been there but I'd sure love to visit! Unfortunately, it's 3000 miles away.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, however, that I had no idea they were having this ten-month exhibition; I'm so glad they posted a slide show of all the exhibitors (thanks for the link). And you certainly sent a lot of wonderful samples of your tatting. I don't recall ever seeing that gorgeous bag!
I now realize that Lacis had 'advertised' the exhibition on he Web quite extensively all during its run; I but I was asleep at the wheel, so to speak, even though I spend a lot of time on the Net.
I'm so glad they invited you to exhibit your work, as well they should! After all, you're one of Mega-Stars in the Tatting Universe! However, there really is no excuse for that 'bio'! I couldn't believe what I was reading! How in the world did the subject of needle tatting get in there? And there was no other relevant info about you! It's interesting that some bios were blank - which isn't exactly good, either!
Your ' teacher profiles' from Palmetto or Fringe Tatters have the proper information about you. I would like to see Lacis rewrite the bio (with your approval) for the slide show! It's a chance to correct this huge 'error'. Perhaps Heidi might have some influence?
