I have got something to show you!!!
When I was in Canada I bought some sock wool because I love knitting socks. Well, that's usually the reason a person (and an old git) buys sock wool!!!
I made a pair with the brown speckled yarn and I've shown you those - I think!!!
This time I've started with the blue yarn I bought. What do you think of it so far? Dare you to say 'rubbish'!!!!
Socks for Christmas!- you could make a pair for everyone on your list. I like the colours.
ReplyDelete"Rubbish"! There, I said it. But not the sock. Nice color. It is getting colder here. I am going to have to get out the double points. BTW, PTG Meeting today. More later.
ReplyDeleteOoh! Pretty sock yarn! What brand needles are you using? They look nice! I have bamboo double points, but I might be willing to try those!
ReplyDeleteLove the progress so far! I love my hand-knit socks; so cozy warm anytime!
ReplyDeleteDiane - the needles are carbon and are Knitters Pride Karbonz - https://www.yarn.com/categories/knitters-pride-karbonz-knitting-needles They are amazing to use. They don't slip but they aren't 'sticky' if you can understand that!!! I bought them in Canada.
ReplyDeleteSuper!
ReplyDeleteReally great colors!! :)
ReplyDeleteStop it!! I'm jealous... can't use needles on planes, and I get one done and not the other till I've lost the first one!! NOT FAIR! Fancy donating some? Alternatively I'll go with Maureens suggestion!! LOL
ReplyDeleteI just love hand knit socks and your's look great. Oh I don't need socks at the moment but I've made more HWY (Hand Wound Yarn) that will soon be a pair of leg warmers.
ReplyDeleteLooking great! I love self-striping yarns for socks. Immediate effortless "WOW" effect.
ReplyDeleteGreat colors and they will be most welcome to whomever!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!! I love the striping colors
