Number two!

I wasn't quite sure which was the best way to tackle the three doilies as I didn't want to be starting all over again once I'd done just one in it's entirety!!!

So being the sort of person I am I decided to do all three centres first.

Here's the centre of the second one.  This was a lot easier as this pattern has been replicated a thousand times by many, many people.

Time to tackle middle number three!!!

  1. Would make a pretty bookmark as it is.

  2. That's true, Jane and this part of the pattern has been done many times before the nun and since!!!

  3. Yes, it would make a lovely bookmark! The yellow is so fresh and pretty!

  4. I have been trying to decide on a simple edging to go on a piece of linen - this might be it! It looks very similar to a cross bookmark I have made about a million times!

  5. Yes Elesa it’s what I’d call a generic pattern which I think every tatter has ‘designed’ over the years. Who knows it might’ve been the nun who did it in the first place but it’s probably even older than that.
