Today it's time for Day 2 of the TIAS - see link above on this blog or the TIAS blog.
I can never get it right. I'm usually too early for everything especially appointments. I hate to keep people waiting. Sometimes (like Christmas and other events) I almost miss them!!!

I was 'blog browsing' just after Christmas and saw this type of decoration on somebody's tree. For some reason that set me off on another 'tangent'.
Here is what resulted from a couple of day's work. So am I too late for 2011 or too early for 2012!!!! Whatever the answer is I'm definitely early on getting the pattern done too!!! Expect more and similar sooooon!!!
that's a super cool tree! nope, it's never too late nor too early for it. an idea is an idea!
ReplyDeleteworking on day 2 now...
oops! forgot to mention... it's really pretty! i like.
ReplyDeleteOh, great tree ornament, I love it! (And I'm busy tatting the 2nd part of the TIAS..., Thank you so much for offering the fun!)
ReplyDeleteAs I was saying on Sally's blog just the other day, Christmas lasts until February 2nd - so you're right on time. What a fabulous ornament.
ReplyDeleteI love this little tree and have already made one and intend to make more.
ReplyDeleteWill show it on my blog soon.
As Maureen says Christmas is still very much evident in Church!
I love this tree. I saw in on pinterest made with ribbon and was planning to make some. But, I prefer your tatted one. Thanks Jane, your wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI love it! Can't wait to tat up a bunch for 2012.
ReplyDeleteWay Cool Jane! A Totally different tree. I really like the design of this.!
ReplyDeleteA pattern is never late, nor is it early, it arrives precisely when it is meant to.
Not exactly my quote, but it fits. THe original quote is from the Book/Movie Lord of the Rings "Gandalf: A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to”.
Have a great day!
I love that! I want one! Please do write up a pattern . . . . that would be very cute to give my girls for their first trees in their own homes.
ReplyDeleteLike, like, like! Another of your patterns to add to my list.
ReplyDeleteJust printed Day 2, will start as soon as I drag myself away from the computer!
It should be Christmas all year! These would make great earrings!
ReplyDeleteWonderful design.
ReplyDeleteFox : )
Fabulous!! This is one of the most unique ideas I have ever seen -tatted ribbon candy! You must have been giddy when the idea flashed into your mind and then came flying off your shuttles, finished off with beads for the 'trunk' and a perfect ornament on top! Of course, that kind of inspiration is an everyday experience for you! And we get to benefit from it!
ReplyDeleteIt's never too early or late to do Christmas tatting!
Brilliant.....just can't wait to see the pattern.
ReplyDeletelouine - there's a link to the pattern on this post - in the last paragraph. Here's a direct link too.

Wow, you've done it again! I think brain cell #4 must have been involved with that one!
ReplyDeleteLove the tree. Definitely going to tat one. Now on to Day 2.
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting the tree pattern.
Elizabeth
Ooooo, we bow to Brain Cell #3 for another great idea! I can't wait to try this one!
ReplyDeleteLove the tree its looks great, definately one for next christmas
ReplyDeletethank you for sharing the pattern.
off to do day 2, thanks for doing the Tias.
Margaret
Oh my gosh - I love this design! Thank you for making the pattern available so early. Perhaps I can get myself organized to make a few for Christmas in 2012.
ReplyDeleteHi Jane! I'm commenting here because it appears you have added a new post today (Sat. Jan 14) about the shuttles you received from Sally, but it's not showing up as a new post. All kinds of goofy things are going on with Blogger right now!
ReplyDeleteNo idea what happened, Kathy. I've re-scheduled for Monday. I guess we can't complain because blogger is free.
ReplyDeletemeraviglioso
ReplyDeleteI tried to comment earlier but it was on my phone and apparently didn't go through.
ReplyDeleteSo, I wanted to say that I really like this design. It is not something I would probably be normally drawn to, but in the Christmas theme it really works. Maybe I'll make something like this for next Christmas. Thanks for sharing!
I can't seem access the pattern from any of the links. Has it been moved?
ReplyDeleteLeslie - please email me on lovetotat @ gmail.com and I'll send you a copy of this pattern. I took it down as I was teaching it at Palmetto Tat Days this last September but I'll get it back up soon.
