I must've lost round 3 after I scanned it but here you have rounds 3 & 4!!! Any guesses yet or have y'all fallen asleep already?!?!?
Round 3 was done using colours 668 and 663 with round 4 in 613 and 605.
I'd forgotten what a lovely tat this doily is during the intervening years but I've still got to do round 4!!!! I may change my mind after that's done!!! We'll see!!!
I like this Jane, all the colours are lovely I think I would like to try something like this and frame it or use it to make a cushion, I have so many ideas!
ReplyDeleteLovely colourful project!
ReplyDeleteI like the look of this doily very intresting
ReplyDeleteGreat Colors.... I am not a fan of cut and tie in each row. But, seeing all the colors makes me want to give it a try. I am good at hiding ends in the beginning but, when it comes to the end, sewing in is the only thing that works for me.
ReplyDeleteSuch a Spring-like color combination -- it's beautiful! I really do like the use of so many different solid color threads; visually very interesting for the eyes to explore.
ReplyDeleteLovely doily and great use of colour

Wow.It's interesting how the colours affect the way one looks at the piece. I'm sure it would look quite different in all one colour.
ReplyDeleteI believe I know what this doily is (I found your post about it!), and the last round will be quite spectacular, apparently done in one pass! (I'm a little confused about the 'round' numbers, though! Seems you've already done five rounds?)
ReplyDeleteThe colors are wonderful, giving it a visual impact - like a kaleidoscope! You always have several projects going on at once! Everyone's breathlessly awaiting the TIAS! I might try it this year, although the split chain worries me!!
I've been keeping my mouth shut (like some others) because I recognized the pattern at the first two rounds. Still don't want to spoil it for others. So I'll just say that it is your favorite doily from a leaflet that I bought from you on Ebay several years ago. It has also appeared in a HH newsletter. I absolutely love it in colour! Now, I wish I had brought the pattern south with me....
ReplyDeleteOh, Kathy, you can avoid the split chains and they're only very, very small anyway. You can also change your mind if it doesn't work out well with the splits!!! I counted the centre as just the 'centre' and then started counting the rounds out. Hope that makes sense, Kathy!!!!
ReplyDeleteIndeed that does explain the rounds! Thanks for clearing it up! OK, I'll be less anxious about the split chains!
ReplyDeleteThe yellow clovers framed in green look like little hearts!
ReplyDeleteYum.
