A year ago today a big space was created in my life.  Miss you so much, Gina, my friend.

  1. Gosh is it a year, my that time has flown, One lady who is very sadly missed by tatters all over the world. I would have loved to meet her as she was such an inspiration to so many tatters.

  2. I thought about her today too, because it's one day before my daughter's birthday; that's a lovely cheerful picture to remember her!

  3. I miss Gina also. I thought of her as I posted my latest Spinning Wheel last night. I'm sure she's chuckling from above... she told me that she smiled every time I posted one. She did not share my fascination with the pattern! I will be attending the Lafayette Lacers lace event where I first met her. She was a superstar in my book!

  4. Was thinking of her too. Hard to believe it has been a year already. The world truly lost one of the greatest people I have had the pleasure to meet.

  5. It seems like just yesterday. I guess it has been that long.
I have accessed her blog a couple times looking for patterns or tutorials.

  7. As I continue to visit Gina's blogroll every day, I still have difficulty realizing that she is no longer with us. Her blog (going back to 2003!)is also a source of an amazing amount of information on tatting, and importantly, is a record of her work and her own wonderful patterns. Such a talented gal! I am thinking of her family today, especially. Thanks for posting the photo.

  8. I hadn't known Gina for very long, but she always left encouraging comments on my blog, and I was amazed by her knowledge, which she freely shared. This is a nice picture of her. Thank you.

  9. She was an inspitation to anybody who encoutered her. Like so many others I never met her in person but she is sadly missed nonetheless. I am sure if she has her way she is filling heaven with lace.

  10. I was just starting out in tatting when Gina passed away, so I never got to know her. But I've been to her blog a couple of times, and it is a great resource. Does anyone know what will happen to it? Perhaps her daughter can take it over?
