First attempt at converting the hummingbird into an angel!!! NOT happy with this one though so it's back to the 'drawing board'. It MAY look OK to you but to me it needs a lot more tweaking.
I'm looking forward to this angel - perhaps it's her head, it's a sixties Peace sign - although on second thoughts, that's actually not inappropriate at all. She could be the Angel of Peace!
Maybe she doesn't need that middle ring, what you are currently using for a head. Just make the bottom ring, between the wings, a bit bigger. Then the halo. And no beaded eyes.
It IS looking good ! And love the colours you've chosen :-) The flair of the gown is very very elegant .
If I may take the liberty, Jane, it occurred to me that the halo could probably be done with Perpendicular arrangement of Rings , where the halo overlaps & surrounds the head at a 90 degree angle. Something like what I tried for flower center and buds in my Tiny Heart Poppy. Just a thought. ...
