Well this wasn't as bad as it looks!!! Still took BC3 a lot of concentration to sort it out. Good training for round nine which looks HORRENDOUS!!!
I'm still trying to track down the designer of this gorgeous doily but having little luck so far. I even had to resort to Facebook and the tatting groups I'm in to ask for help - I’ll update you on that as soon as I can settle down to sort out all the information I’ve got and am sure there maybe more coming in.
As a lot of you may know - I don’t ‘do’ Facebook and only pop in there when there’s something I really can either help with or am interested in. I went through a patch a few years ago of being there a lot before I realised how much time I was wasting - time is valuable when you get older and want to tat another idea!!!
Looking lovely Jane. Have you tried Craft tree, Kirsty might be able to help identify it?
ReplyDeleteI'm following every step of the work you're putting in to making this doily available to everyone. I'm quite sure I couldn't do it!
ReplyDeleteI go to Facebook several times a day because it seems to be the best way to keep up with the family! I love the tatting sites, the only trouble is that if you see something in the morning and want to find it a couple of hours later, it's gone!
Unfortunately I continue to have great trouble with Craftree, so rarely visit that site anymore. Such a shame, because the database of patterns is absolutely invaluable.
Thanks, Anonymous. I rarely go to Craftree but I think I’ve now found the source - to be revealed when I next blog Juliana!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt’s been (and continuing to be) an interesting journey with Juliana. I’ve had quite a lot of help from the Facebook groups so I’ll soon be publishing the things I’ve found out. Craftree is a mystery to me!!! I get there and can’t find my way round so leave again!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's looking fabulous!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way about Facebook and the computer in general. I can waste a great deal of time if I'm not careful. To help myself out, I've gone back to a paper calendar/diary. It helps remind me to be grateful, track my progress, and note problems (once written down, I can let them go and get some sleep!) to be solved another day.
ReplyDeleteGlad you have found out information on the pattern. Will your sample(s) be coming to Tat Days?
I hope to bring the finished doily to Tat Days but first I have to get past the very tricky round 9 and then I’ll have to back it onto something, I think!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love computers and am forever learning stuff but Facebook is my nemesis!!!!
Yea I agree on face book. Love this round it brings it all together❤️
ReplyDeleteI also find Facebook and Craftree to be confusing.
ReplyDeleteRound 9 would do me in! In fact, I never would have got this far! You are very brave to work on this, but I know you'll succeed. Glad you are finding some answers.
The dreaded round 9 is going to be my nemesis, Kathy but I will tame it!!!! I can be very stubborn!!!
