The last of the flowers

These tiny ones don’t have another colour in them but that’s what the pattern says!!!

There’s something so relaxing about following a pattern.  No real ‘thinking’ needed - just sit and do as you’re told.  Wish that applied to the rest of life although that might be boring!!!

What are you planning for the flowers? I’m sure there is a folded join (my nemesis). If I would do it a bunch of ty, I might become proficient at doing it.

  4. I love tatting tiny flowers and other wee things. I then use them in my mixed media tapestries. It's so lovely to have my tatting shuttle in my pocket and to whip it out and tat in 'stolen moments'. I NEVER leave home without a tatting shuttle!

  6. That's a JOKE, Jane McLellan!!! There's a TIAS to think about!!
I generally tat SCMR butterflies, Noreen. Thanks for your lovely message. Keeps me focussed on what's important in life - walking and tatting plus other odd crafts thrown in!!!
Anonymous - the flowers are for the Marmello doily I'm working on. There would be a folded join there but I've never got the hang of those!!! Here's the way I do it. http://www.janeeborall.freeservers.com/JoinlastRfirstring.pdf In 65 years I've never been able to do it the 'folding' way!!!!

I am Susan. I was asking about the little flowers. The teacher I have for tatting finally got the folded join through my head. I hope I can remember it. I will try to find the marmello doily.
