OK, so there's the TIAS to finish off (mainly uploading the links), a technique page to finish off (should be ready tomorrow) and then - nothing.
I don't know what to do next. I'm babysitting this evening so I have a hanky edging to take and do while I'm doing that but I've no idea what to make now.
I want to start a new design but have no idea what to do. I'd sort of like to do a new animal but have no idea what's wanted/needed. ANY suggestions would be gratefully received!!
Inspiration, please contact brain cell 3 before he deteriorates into brain cell 2 or 1 and worse still, disappears altogether.
How about a puppy pattern? I don't remember seeing one?
ReplyDeleteNow tat's a great idea, painted barn. I'll start a list and then run it past brain cell 3
ReplyDeleteOr a Tiger, a Wombat or a German Shepherd dog? I have two newborn German Shepherd grandpuppies - they were like little black slugs when they were born but now are fluffy teddybears.
ReplyDeleteRelax for a bit? Give busy brain cell #3 a rest and I know he'll come up with something brilliant!
ReplyDeleteHow about a plattypus!!!
ReplyDeleteMy grandson has been asking for a stingray. I haven't checked your pattern page, because I told him it would have to wait until after Christmas. Besides, I think the color of a stingray is boring. Maybe a colorful stingray?
ReplyDeleteOh wow, I'm looking forward to the TIAS. And I guess you'll know what to do soon enough. I hope you will make a ferret one day...
ReplyDeleteI have always like koala bears.
ReplyDeletePoodle please! can't find one anywhere without beads. But anything you make is um,addicting. Husband thinks I've gone button crazy.
ReplyDeleteHow about a fox with a fluffy tail?
ReplyDeleteHow about a bird of some sort? I'm looking at the gift bag my sister sent me that has black-capped chickadees on it, wondering how they might be translated to tatting. Or a blue jay would be pretty. Or a goldfinch.
ReplyDeleteOh, thanks everybody. You've got me motivated already. Miranda I do have several birds already. A robin/bluebird, a dove and a parrot/cockatiel. Maybe they could be 'converted'?
ReplyDeleteI asked for a Scotty dog a while ago. Someone did make one on the same order as your goat. But I'd like to see it more Scotty-ish. With a good square nose and perky ears. Thanks, Jane.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Jane and Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteBrain cell 3 only needs a moment to catch it's breath and then it will be inspired. I see some good suggestions above.
There is an interesting picture of a tractor in Christmas lights on Wanda's Knotty Thoughts. Maybe that would be something to inspire you.
IF by some Christmas miracle you haven't already chosen a new project, I would like to suggest a fawn (as in, baby deer, not the mythical creature who has goat legs and plays a pan flute) -- although....one of those mythical fawns might be a lot of fun too!
ReplyDeleteI have to echo "plattypus"! My niece is craving one -- with "Perry the Platypus" colors to go with her shoes, backpack and hat!
