I've done it!!!!

I've done it - submitted my ideas.  So, this week I'm going to show you what I have sent to the Palmetto Tatters as lesson plans.
Today I'm showing you the skunk I'm offering.  I know a skunk isn't everybody's favourite animal but this one is quite cute (well I think that's not quite true - he's very cute)!!  His name is Smelly.  I'm not 'showing' him as a large picture for one simple reason - so that he can't be copied!!!

I'm not being mean but I am finding more and more that people are 'copying' from pictures and really that's 'not on'.  'Not cricket, old chap, not cricket'.  As the English would say!!!

Not claiming copyright as such but it's only one step away, isn't it?  It's not happened to me, I don't think but I've seen it in other places.  Anyway, as these are for Tat Days I think it's fair too.   I suppose this could be called a 'teaser'!!!

This came about last November when I was just starting in on the TIAS and a lady emailed me and asked me to do a skunk!!!!!  So you'll have to say a big thank you to Shirley for that!!!!

Smelly is not only very cute, but really funny as well.
I like the white part of him - is he a he?

Thanks, Orsi. I THINK he's a he but to be honest I've been very wary of trying to investigate too closely - just in case he/she makes me smelly too!!!!

Smelly is very cute! We smell way too many skunks around here. Country life does have its ups and downs!

That's a cute guy!

I love looking at your creations! I can also understand about not wanting your pattern copied, especially if it's a class you're going to be teaching.

You'll have to make sure Smelly doesn't get over-excited and clear the room at Tat Days!
Very nice, Jane.

Yes, Geraldine. IF I get chosen to teach at Tat Days he'll go on their CD first and when they've stopped selling I then put the pattern on my web site - around this time next year.
Suztats - I've yet to be chosen to teach and I hope if I am he doesn't make a stink!!!!

What a name for this cute fellow?! I've never encountered a skunk around here but Smelly will make the room come alive at Palmetto I believe!

So much work to submit for Palmetto and well done for getting it done way before the deadline.
Have watched with interest your patterns, that is the advantage of bouncing some of them off your little sister!

You have to worry about getting excepted to teach??!! Really I bet they all went "Look! Jane is coming! I hope I hope she wants to teach !"
Love Smelly

I agree with tat19540. They will be doing cartwheels just to know you are coming!

I have been known to copy pictures of tatting, when I have no access to the pattern in a book, and it's not a recently published pattern. Always acknowledging the designer, of course. But if it's not cricket, so be it, I will take note. I'm sure Smelly will be a great hit, he's cute!
