A few weeks ago a friend approached me and suggested that I could use some of my web space to showcase Gina's patterns. I'm sure we'd discussed this before and I must've forgotten!!! My 'remembering' has never been very good and as I've got older it's become even more like a sieve!!!!!
So, she sent me the patterns that she'd saved from Gina's blog links before they stopped 'being there'.
For those of you who haven't heard of Gina before - she was a very dear friend to many, many of us and I had the pleasure of spending time with her on several occasions. This wasn't easy to arrange as she lived in America and I'm in England! Gina was a prolific crafter and tatter extraordinaire. She shared her thoughts and work on her blog here.
Sadly she died waaaaay too young just over two years ago. Even when she was going through the trials of chemo and radiation she kept her sense of humour and hope. Just after she found out she was in remission she got pneumonia and the outcome was then sadly inevitable.
This is my tribute to her (with permission from her family) in the only way I know and in order to keep my very fond memories of her alive. If anybody else has further Gina patterns I would happily add them to the site.

Jane, I have most of Gina's patterns. Not sure if the ones you posted are all you have or not. Would be happy to send the others if you need them.

Gina was a very special lady always sunny never down. Even when she had her trials, she reminds me of my dear friend who passed recently. All the earth angels pass way too young!

2 years already, boy I didn't realize it had been that long. I too miss Gina. I have all her patterns I think. I downloaded them not too long after she left us, just in case they disappeared. I will check my list and yours to see if there is anything different. Thanks for doing this dear Jane. You are also an awesome friend.
Jane, You're the best. I miss Gina and everything she wrote about -- one could feel her emotions through her blogs and personal messages. Thank you for allowing her patterns to be available. She would enjoy this.

A wonderful way to keep Gina's creativity and love of tatting available to all. I only knew her for a short time through her blog and her comments to me, but she was always kind and encouraging. I miss her wonderful, informative posts. Thanks Jane.

I often wondered if Gina's patterns were 'electronically' lost forever. You are liberating them! Thanks so much, Jane, for your expertise in doing this, and thanks to your friend for suggesting it. I'm grateful that Gina's blog and blogroll (including many other crafts) are still available, and we can still view her videos, although it's bittersweet to do so.
What a great thing to do! Gina was such a sweet and talented lady. She lived about 35 miles from me and we met up on occasion, and every time we had such fun. Thanks for doing this!
