On a roll!!

Yes, already further progress with the Dora Young pattern (page 22) so I'm just showing you quickly how far I've got.

I get to this point in a project when I don't honestly want it to end.  Problem is - I worry about how much thread I've got and how long it will last!!!

You'd think that by now I'd be able to judge this but I still worry.  Well, worry isn't strictly true - I sort of keep thinking about it but just continue.

The swirls are forming triangles now! Keep going, you can always order more thread.

That is going to be a fabulous piece when you finish it the way you want!! :)

I love this pattern. It’s mesmerising. I think it is where Mary Konior got her inspiration. Please keep going Jane!

The doily is coming along nicely and it sounds like you really enjoy making it. Fingers crossed that you have enough thread.

My mind is boggled when I look at this doily. I can't believe you can keep track of where you are at any given time!

I have a serious question for you concerning Gina's blog. I know you have contact with Gina's family. As of today, her blog is quite unreadable due to some kind of Photobucket issue. Is her family aware of this? Is there some way to preserve the blog? It would be devastating to have it disappear. Photobucket for a while has had a somewhat intrusive notice that 'moved around' with the blog, but the content was still readable. However, now the blog text is 90% obliterated. I sure hope this issue can be resolved!

Oh how I like this. Was at a friend's today and she showed me a crochet afghan she's making similar and I told her about your tatted doily in progress. Will be fun to watch the doily and the afghan grow.

I'm coming here again to let you know I have checked out Gina's blog on my other laptop and tablets, and the blog is OK on one tablet, but blocked out on the other one (both Androids), and is OK on my 2nd laptop but blocked out on the 1st laptop. Both laptops have Windows 10 operating system, and the notice is on IE as well as Chrome and Edge. By "OK" I mean that PB's symbol and 'message/warning' is less intrusive and I can still read the blog and see her photos. But I don't know for how long. I investigated more of the Photobucket issue and it's a rather serious one, with very upset customers, and rightly so. This is all very unsettling, with Gina's blog being threatened.

I can see what you mean about Gina’s blog, Kathy. Sadly when Gina died so suddenly her family found they couldn’t access the blog as they couldn’t find her passwords. I don’t think there’s anything that can be done about the problem. Very sad.

Thanks, Jane, for responding. I didn't realize the family couldn't gain access. It's certainly a troubling situation when promises are broken by these companies, with total disregard for their customers. It's a darker side to the internet, which has given us so much. I still have hope that somehow this can be resolved.
