It’s going to be a wotsit!

Progress (or lack of!) continues with the shuttle button - see my first/second attempts here

Why do I always over complicate things when I’m designing?

Can you see that I’ve tried to link the beads at the side to those at the bottom? I think (or should that now be thought) that the tatting ought to be anchored at the bottom of the button as well as the side. Well I’ve changed my mind!! They say a lady is entitled to change her mind and as I’m a female OG (old git).  I sometimes count myself as a ‘lady’ too!!!

So that idea has been firmly scrapped but I’ve now got a better one which I’ll show you tomorrow - IF you behave yourselves!!!

It looks like a sailing boat with an anchor!

A wotsit! I have a few of those. And Maureen is right. It does look like a boat. Interesting idea for a button, though.

I'm very curious to see what is your next idea, but now I'm a lot more curious to know what a wotsit is!!!!!

So it does, Maureen!
Not thought of a boat, Tim!!
Ah, Ninetta, a wotsit is a wotsit!!! When I wrote the blog post I had no firm idea about what ‘it’ was going to be but I’ve now decided and the idea is ‘good to go’!!!

It's nice to see your designing thoughts progress! ;)

Ha, God’s Kid - they digress and degress (if that’s a word!) too!!!

mmmmm..... how about treating the button as a carbachon like an Ice Drop? That way your completed stitches could peak around the shuttle and extend behind. Just a thought.....

That’s an idea, picotsnkeys. I’m afraid of doing that, though, and the button falling out!! Holes in things just BEG to be joined into in BC3’s little mind!!!!
