Well you may think I've been round the bend for many, many years and others would confirm that too.
The saga of the poncho continues and I've now got about halfway through, I think!!!
This is the link I used to get the general idea of how to make mine. Basically it's two rectangles joined together. So that's what I'm doing. If it doesn't work out then I'll be able to adjust it when they're done, I hope!!!
So here are a couple of pictures - one of how it looked a few days ago and the other the ongoing choosing of threads to use.

Haha! When I read the title of your post, I expected to see the bend in a river! You have a glorious array of colors from which to choose!
If you can keep going it will be a unique poncho. Not a ball of Lizbeth in sight, is that because the fine threads will have more drape? I suppose a cordonnet would be very stiff to wear.
I’ve past the point of giving up, now, Maureen. Too much time invested in it now!!! No Lizbeth in it because I need to use up the finer threads and doubling (trebling sometimes) up on the fine ones works really well. I don’t think it would make any difference if I did use Lizbeth when it comes to the drape. I’ll experiment once I’ve finished!!!!
That poncho will look so unique I might not call it a poncho! If I come up with a good name, I'll let you know...... ;)
It's so fabulous already!!! :) Can't even imagine how awesome it will look when finished!!
