A new dragonfly

Also in my shop is a new design of a dragonfly.

The body is worked in a size 20 cotton thread and the wings in some of my favourite silver metallic.

All worked in one 'hit' with no ends to sew in.  Question is - how did I do that?!?!?!?

The pattern may become available at some point but I do have to spend some time explaining how I did it!!!!  Firstly to myself!!!!

Hmm a mystery pattern! I think you made the bottom ring as scmr to use two shuttles, then made split rings all the way up. To make the wings, you made extra long picots covered in silver thread that you joined back on twice. Those wings definitely have pink and blue core threads.

No to the SCMR (just a ring) and your wing idea is good but there were no extra long picots in the sense that they were made and then covered. They were covered at the time of making!!! Time for another think!!!
