IF anybody uses the janeeborall.com url then beware!!! It's now a 'sex' site link!!

Reason? VERY long and complicated!!!

A young lad I taught many years ago set this up for me two years or so ago. It pointed to the globalnet site but then I changed it to point at the btinternet site instead.

Fine. All was well.

Then I realised two months ago that the subscription would soon run out and that Andy had disappeared off the face of the planet. Well, this part of the planet anyway. I tried and tried to get in touch with him via emails and his dad who said he was 'on a Pacific island somewhere'. Well eventually I bumped into him in town on a brief visit home to see his mum and dad and he said he'd sort it.

A few emails later and with help from A.N.Other I thought we were 'nearly there'.

Wrong, so wrong!!! So, if you've bookmarked this url please
change it to this one for now and I'll see if I can get the other back and under MY control this time.

I need more web space so this is what I'm trying to achieve too.

My apologies to anybody who has been upset but you ought to know by now that I'm not in the least interested in this type of recreational activity!!! Tatting suits me fine - quite energetic enough!!!

  1. Oohhh Jane, what a terrible thing to happen to such a nice person. That kind of thing shouldn't be aloud on the internet. I never knew of the url, so I don't think I ever was at that site. I just knew of the btinternet site.

That's such a shame that your name is in the url. :(

  2. I'm sorry Jane but I find this super humorous! Look at the trouble you get into even when you are not trying...hee hee!

  3. I'm with both Carol AND Lady ShuttleMaker, LOL! It is both terrible and humorous at the same time. What makes it so humorous is tatting is so often associated with "prim and proper"~ness. OMGoodness, I hope it all gets straightened out soon.

  4. Ah hahahahaha! You naughty, naughty girl. ;D

  5. Oh Good Grief mate! I almost wet my 'nappies'
The irony was just too much....
I'm all re set on my e-mails now...
    Missed talking with you.
    XXX Bev

  6. The same thing happened,a while ago, with Gillian Buchanan's Craft Blog site - I was horrified! - but eventually it reverted to normal.
    A two-edged sword, the internet......

  7. Goodness... that is too funny. Distasteful maybe, but funny nonetheless. I wandered over here from TattingChic's blog. Humor sure is the leavening of life. :)

  8. Oh dear! that is too funny for words and absolutely diabolical that they can get away with using your url like that. They must have liked your name a lot! Perhaps you should should change it to something less fiery!!

  9. On a practical note.....maybe this is something that we should all be aware of that any name we set up as our website will be available to others should we choose/not be able to renew it, annoying but true.

  10. I'm still chuckling.... Sorry! : )) Fox
