Crosses make me CROSS!!!

No, not really - just thought that made a good title and would make you all sit up and take notice - heeee, heeee.

I've seen this pattern over and over again during the years and in fact found a slight variation of it in a 1982 Ring of Tatters newsletter whilst scanning them the other day.  Oh, does anybody want them (the newsletters) or shall I burn them?  No, Trayna, I haven't forgotten you!!!  I think I've seen the pattern in another of my books too.

I made this set of coloured ones in an 80 thread and it would've been when my kids were little as, over several years during that time, I did a lot of talks and demonstrations around the area and these were some of my 'highlights'.  My kids are now into their forties (hope they're not reading this!!) so that's a loooong time ago.

The white one is from - goodness knows where but certainly isn't my invention.
Which reminds me - I do have 3 crosses of my own which aren't yet on the web site.  I'll be adding them to my pattern pages over the next few days.  Quick and easy to make and all in one 'hit'!!!!

Ha! Ha! You did get my attention! All of the crosses are lovely. I especially like the one in the lower left corner.

I like tatting crosses too! - and is it possible that one of your "new" designs is the lovely Benedict Cross I have been admiring on Sally's blog? - it's the one which appears to have a circle around the top part of the cross.I once asked her about it, and she told me that it was one of your designs - so now my hopes are up!

How exciting! I have a ball of that size 80 that you used in the bottom left cross. I've used it for a few bookmarks and they always look lovely. I can hardly wait to see your crosses. I do LOVE the "all in one hit" part.

The white one appears to be all chains and I think I've seen it somewhere--at least, something similar. I'll come back with another post if I find it on the internet.

The three new cross designs are great, although I do have a particular favourite. I am sure they are going to be a big hit in 'tatland'.

I get cross with crosses from time to time... I also enjoy tatting crosses for gifts. I find them to be wonky from time to time. It always amazes me how my tension changes from day to day...thus the 'wonkiness'.

These are all beautiful.

Jane,
Don't throw those newsletters away! Some of us newbies have never gotten a chance to see them! If you are burning them....send them my way and I will give them a good home....might even scan them and pass them on to another newbie....how about the traveling newsletters???? Love the crosses by the way...but I love all your work! I am retiring in two days and will be back on line soon!

Hi Suz. Do you live in the UK? If you contact me privately perhaps we can fix something up?
