When I originally did the Fandango edging I never in my wildest dreams thought of it as anything more than 'just an edging'.
Thanks to all the talented tatters in tat land this has now become a square motif (Valerie Ho) and a bookmark too (sorry, can't remember who suggested this - please own up).
NOW look what's happened to it thanks to Geraldine!!!
I am currently writing this up with the help of brain cell 3 who is struggling with how to write it the easiest way. Not hard to tat but difficult to write in an easy way for others to follow.
It's a stunning motif and I have completed one already. Just making another to 'check up on myself'. Thanks SO much, Geraldine.

OOO - gorgeous cross. Must make!
wow that pattern is versatile!!!
It really is stunning! The color selection adds to the effect.
Isn't this the test of a truly great pattern - it's versatility?
Normally I am not a big fan of tatting crosses, but I really, really LOVE this one! Well done, everyone!
Oooh, great cross!!! :)
Love the new cross. Good job Geraldine.

can't get the google comment to work.
that is stunning! Definately on my to -do-list when the pattern is available..psst..graphs work best because numbers are universal. Wonderful work there.
Wonderful cross design! So many possibilities with this motif and the two-color split ring!
When I wrote my first comment, I didn't have time to study this cross, and now I am completely astounded at how Geraldine constructed it! Although I generally understand how the basic motif is done with the brilliant idea of two-color rings, I haven't yet tatted it. (It's been high on my priority list!)
The cross is quite awe-inspiring and yet you say it's easy to tat! So I can't wait to see the pattern!
I also just discovered this all started with your charming handkerchief edging back in January, THEN the bookmark! I somehow missed that part of he saga!
I'm curious how you came up with the name Fandango. Also, apparently the talented Geraldine does not have a blog? I've seen some of her clever tatting on your blog, but no link to her.
Kathy - I've sent your comment on to Geraldine in the hope we can jiggle her into starting a blog - I don't think she's got one yet.
The name came from a tatting friend - I THINK it might've been Carol but I'm not sure. I'm hopeless at naming patterns as you've probably noticed!!!
Gorgeous! I like every incarnation of this pattern more.
