I'm RICH!!

Yes, I'm RICH.

I heard months ago from Barb at Handy Hands that they'd chosen my suggestion for a new colour combination in the Lizbeth threads and have been desperately trying to keep the aged mouth SHUT!!!!

It's like winning the lottery, having a baby, coming of age (that's nearly 68 for me!!!) and all the best things in life.  For my suggestion I get 25 balls of Lizbeth for FREEEEEE.  You can keep your lottery, you can keep your Premium Bonds, you can keep your scratch cards - I've won the tatter's lottery.  WHOOOPPPPEEEEEE - more thread!!!

The colour combination that I've been desperately seeking for years - pink to brown was chosen.    It's called Pink Cocoa and it's on Isdihara's blog which is here.

BUT the hard part is choosing the colours that Barb gives you.  25 balls of thread.  Thread heaven but what a hard time choosing!!!  Why?  Well, there are SO many gorgeous colours and Sue Anna has led me astray with her generosity in the past too!!! This is how I went about it on the floor in our back room and just outside 'Tat Cupboard'!!!

In the bottom photo you can see my list which isn't complete at this stage.  I got all my other threads out (not all shown on the first picture) to either re-order old favourites like Rainbow Taffy and Autumn Spice or to see if I had any in the stash which would match up with new ones.  See the iPad - 'tuned' into the Handy Hands site?  SOOO useful.

Congratulations Jane. You have created a lovely colour combination.
From your choice of a name you must enjoy your midnight drink!

Hi Anne - I didn't choose the name, Barb did. Naming things is not my strong point as you can tell by my patterns!!!!

I never can cope with choice! - so I usually have to buy BOTH pairs of shoes...etc.
Faced with your dilemma I think I would buy the same few colours in every size!

CONGRATULATIONS!! It must have been difficult to keep this a secret! So glad you get to add to your stash! It really IS like winning a Lottery!

I tried thinking of a new color combo and came up with one, then discovered they already had it! So to come up with a new combination is a challenge! I loved the way Isdahara posted the photos. So exciting! My mind boggles at all the wonderful choices we have today!

Thanks, folks. It wasn't hard to think of that colour combination as it's one I've wanted for ages. Kathy, my mind boggles as when I started tatting in 1956 (yikes, that's a long time ago) there was only white, ecru, possibly navy and little else. Sometimes I could get a boring green and red but that was all. Today we're spoilt and it's mainly down to Barb at Handy Hands who's stuck her neck out and taken the huge risk (which I'm sure it is) and trouble to source, buy and then sell on the Lizbeth range. She's the one we should all thank.

Ooh, how exciting! Congrats on your color choice being picked. That would be a really tough decision, to pick out colors of threads. Good luck!

Congratulations! It's hard work to choose new threads--but sooooo much fun. I can't wait to see what you choose. I've added pink cocoa to my Christmas list.

Well deserved Jane, and agree that these days it is so exciting to have so many different threads to choose from. I well remember those days when ecru, white and navy blue were about the only colours (and still have some of them) but whats more there was no internet!!!!
