What is the name of this game? Using old things and re-modelling them. Is it re-modelling, re-cycling, up-cycling or what?
As I can't decide I'm going to call it re-up-tatting.
The centre of this motif is part of this necklace (I think there were 16 of these in the whole thing) which I found in a charity shop in Cheltenham. With the aid of a pair of pliers and some time I took it apart as I thought I'd be able to make something out of them. Well, here it is - the first trial. I'm not totally happy with this yet but I'm sure somebody will like them one day!! Either that or they'll get cut up again and re-up-tatted!!!!
I couldn't decide which way round it should go!!!

They'd make lovely pendants - you're very clever, I don't think I would have given those old necklaces a second glance!
Hi Jane
I like the unusual colour mixes. Also the way you've 'squared' off the last two rows to match the centre!
Turning them sideways and making them look like diamonds is best I think.
Off to get the other eye done!
I like it both ways, and like Maureen, I think it would make a lovely pendant!
I love it! Very effective use of color! I agree with Maureen that it would make a great pendant.
I really like this pattern. very pretty!

So clever, so beautiful!
Lovely Jane!! I knew you would make something awesome out of the little bits.
OH MY GOODNESS, JANE! Either way, these re-up-tatted pieces look awesome! LoVe the colours!
Wonderful use of the 'finding'! Fabulous pattern, thread colors and beads! I like the 'diamond' shape! It would require only one jump ring for a necklace, and you could add another 'dangly' bead on the bottom picot. I'd be tempted to glue a small rhinestone on top of the finding (if that's a flat space) just for a little added bling!
You at least DO something with your rescued pieces. I have all kinds of 'ideas', but I'm not as dedicated to actually working on them!
Lovely pendent!!! I like it as a diamond layout!! Great colours too!!

Oh...I LOVE, I LOVE, I LOVE this one. Now I need that center and the pattern. I have one solo earring (the partner was lost some where) and may be I can do something with that. Now you are getting my creative juices flowing.
Very clever Jane, and pretty too. I like your color combination as well.
absolutely love it set on point, very pretty colors you chose :)
Wow! That is FABULOUS!! I love the colors and design! :)
These are really beautiful! Lovely color combinations and wonderful pattern. Great going, Jane!
