A sad day

Yes today will be a sad day as it's the last of my TIAS 2012.  Please, pretty please with sugar on the top will you send in your country and any blog urls with the final day 12?  I'll 'harvest' the blog addresses and then eventually add them to my own main blog here and to my web site links too.  I'm intrigued (as so many of you are) to see where everybody lives too.  I'll number each entry so we can easily keep count too!!

I'm sure it'll keep me busy collecting goats (does that make me a goatherd?) over the next few days but after that there'll be a big gap in my life.  What will I do with it?
First of all I must add the goat pattern to my web pages - in fact, I'll do it now.  Do you like his name?  I wonder who it's named after?  Any guesses?

Jane, I'm attempting Day 12, but am wondering if I'm missing a step between day 11 and 12. On the diagram it appears we attach the last chain of day 11 to something, but the written directions don't mention the join. Am I the only confused one?
Sorry, couldn't email as I'm not at home.

I love the beard, Jane. Really adds to his personality. I'm not feeling the urgency to get to Sir Hainting this morning as it will mean TIAS is over for now. What should you do next? Another TIAS, of course.

The last day of chain 11 joins into the top of SR38. There should be a space sort of a vsp there. I'll publish your comment in a bit so you can pick this up both 'ways'!!!!

I'm eagerly awaiting some Lizbeth Root Beer float thread, so I can make Mr. Goat in variegated brown and white.
So, are we supposed to make name suggestions for our goat, or has he a name and we are to guess it?
Also, I sure would like to see you design a dog of some kind. That's what I thought we were making when we had "Billy's" back half made.

Madtatter - if you follow the link in the TIAS blog post or in this one you'll find out his name!!!! I've got a tiny doodle dog which will be in my next batch of doodles.

Thankyou for all your wonderful patterns! I´ve just started to do tatting again, after some years. And when I found your blog I just smile and was happy!! (Excuse my english, I´m not very good at it, I´m from Sweden). Your pattern are so easy to follow, even if I´m not very good at english! Thankyou again!!

From the Sound of Music........

Maria:
High on a hill was a lonely goatherd
Lay ee odl lay ee odl lay hee hoo
Loud was the voice of the lonely goatherd
Lay ee odl lay ee odl-oo

Folks in a town that was quite remote heard
Lay ee odl lay ee odl lay hee hoo
Lusty and clear from the goatherd’s throat heard
Lay ee odl lay ee odl-oo

Well done big sis!!!
