Oh dear what is the matter

What IS the matter with me? Every year I have this urge to knit. To knit socks and socks only!!!

I usually ignore the urge but this year I gave in and got a pattern and some wool. Then there was the problem of knitting needles - none fine enough to be found in this town but I suddenly thought of the charity shops and found a set of four needles that were 'just right'.

Here are the socks. Now will I ever wear them? I doubt it very much but I got that urge out of my system and hopefully it won't return for a few years!! I did enjoy knitting them but that's led to other things - more to follow another day!!

I'm glad you found the right needles. The first time I had an overwhelming urge to knit socks I had to use the children's pick-up-sticks!

So maybe your favorite buddy would like to wear them--not BC3, I mean the other fellow. . . . .

Hurray for warm socks!

They look great. Isn't it funny what the mind wants to do from time to time.

That other Day is coming fast, The one with the tree.(We don't like to talk about it) Gift away! Daughter in law? Local nursing home? Want my address? Good luck and give them a good home.

At least one pair got them out of your system. I usually knit a pair for each family member... No pun intended, but I put my foot down this year. No socks in site!

I know the feeling - I'm surprised it took only one pair to get it out of your system. Last year I seemed to be knitting socks until spring started sending nice, warm weather consistently. Stopped mid-sock until the urge takes over again this year. ;-)

I've been knitting, too - nothing finished yet, but at least three projects started!

So funny! I too had the urge very strongly, till I realized since I have given all knitting stuff away I woukd need to buy needles, pattern and wool.... Just thinking about this took away the urge. Thank goodness! Must think thread...not wool!
