Just when I thought it was all over

I found another pattern lurking on the computer. This time it's a Flipje

Now WHAT is a Flipje I hear you ask!!! Well this next link will explain it all. I hope you can translate it via your browser. I've got a google plugin on my browser that allows me to translate most pages to English so I'm hoping you can too. It's an interesting read.

You'll see from the date at the top of the pattern that this was done a while ago! I'm not sure who asked for it but I know I'd never heard of a Flipje until then.

This is one of the reasons I LOVE Tat Land. I learn all the time.

Couldn't translate that page but a search came up with the illustrator who will be known world wide for his drawings of Noddy in the Enid Blyton books!! It said on that page that he was drawn as a commission for a jam factory, as he is made of berries. The illustration was a metre long and had a rhyme underneath (written by his wife) and was used to adorn the edges of the shelves in stores. After that he (Flipje) was turned into a theatre (backlit with a torch) for children.

That's for those who couldn't get the page to translate!! VBG I'd have got it translated by my Crazy Dutch Friend, but I'll have to make one to go with the other things I've done before Sunday!! VBG
