An old 1950's TV puppet show called Kukla, Fran and Ollie. I barely remember it from childhood. Fran was Fran Allison. She would be on with the 2 puppets. They were sort of sock puppets. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kukla,_Fran_and_Ollie
Thanks, Tim. We obviously didn't get it 'over here' and anyway I'm too old to remember as I was almost out of my first childhood then. Still staying with my second childhood and not about to leave that anytime soon!!!!
I love the idea of these puppets but I might need a bigger pocket. I had a doll once that your turned upside down and there was another doll under the skirt.
