Moaning Monday

I know I’ve been absent from this blog for a week or two but it’s due to circumstances that need to be dealt with. I’m hoping to be back soon but it could be another week or more due to the extreme heat we’re suffering at the moment as well as the other hassles.
My Monday Moan?  Well it’s about losing things. Why oh why is it so easy to lose things that you’re actually using?  I sit in my chair tatting away and without moving a muscle my hook/bobbin/scissors are gone.  Vanished completely. I have to get up (putting down the iPad I’m working on and search the chair. These ‘things’ usually turn up pretty quickly but I still ask why, and how they go missing so quickly.

I took this picture yesterday as it tickled me that I could see my earrings!!!

That's why I like to use a shuttle with a hook attached - looking for a hook each time I want to make a join drives me crazy. Keep cool there.

Me too, Jane but I do use a finer hook for adding beads to a picot and that's the little stinker that always goes missing!!!

😂🤣😂 I think this is a world wide crafters problem!. Stay cool! Freezing cold and wet, wet, wet here in Oz. And by the way, thanks for all your great patterns, tips and tricks, videos etc. I have been haunting your blog for years and love it 😀

I’ve noticed that you haven’t been around quite as much a usual, and I hope that whatever has been keeping you away will sort itself out soon. The shadow photo is very appropriate!
I lose things all the time too, and usually whatever it is turns up right in front of me. I think aI panic, and then suffer from selective blindness.. I look again later and there it is, exactly where I left it.

I dropped a crochet hook last week. I can't find it anywhere!

Always look before you sit is my motto!!! I’ve ‘nearly’ sat on scissors and hooks so many times in the past!!!

I think you’re right, Janet!!!! Stinking hot here but not up to Oz standards as my friend Judith says!!! She reckons it’s an ordinary summer day at 30 and that 40 is hot!!! Me? I think 30 is HOT!!!! Thank you for haunting my blog - nice to know there are ghosties out there!!! Also I’m delighted you like the patterns etc - it all keeps me out of mischief. Well, most of the time!!!

Maureen you’re just like me!!! I panic like I did yesterday when I lost my tablet’s pencil!!!! Of course as soon as I gave in to the fact that it was lost and gone forever - I found it!!! I’m hoping that the hassle I’m dealing with will be finished by the end of next week and that things will return to whatever we once called ‘normal’!!!!

Jane, is there ever a normal? Nice to here you are still creating during this hassle! Look forward to hearing from you again!

Ha, ha, Beth. No never a normal but there’s always hope of there being a normal!!!! A little creating but not a lot, I’m afraid.
