Another alien

Excellent news - another alien arrived yesterday and is now on the TIAS blog. As I said to Susan who sent it in - I’m going to use it as a reminder to those who haven’t sent theirs in yet.

At the moment we only have 77 and I like to get close to 100 before I make the effort to start on another TIAS design.  So, calling all aliens - would you care to join Susan’s over here and see if we can get to 100?

Sure hope folks finish their aliens and send them in as I want another TIAS next year! It's something I LOVE. I know it takes SO much of your time both in designing, being tricky, and then during the actual posts throughout the process. So your efforts are certainly appreciated and applauded. I never fail to learn something new or brush up on a technique I need to practice. I admit that I gave up on the Catherine Wheel Joins after struggling with the first few. True confessions. I'll go back and make another to practice that technique. I did lock joins for my last few on the alien pattern.

I will have to admit that I thought about quitting tatting when I was learning the CW j. I finally decided that I wasn’t going to let this one element destroy my love of tatting. I had the same issue with the folded join, but I conquered it, too. Perseverance! I need to block this alien, but I was so happy to show Jane that I had succeeded and so it is on display without the final touch.

I beg your pardon? I didn't quite catch what you said.
