Another heart

I've got a heart like this in my shop but this one isn't there!!!  This is for a returning customer who works in our Post Office.

The staff at the post office are always curious as to what I'm mailing abroad and this lady one day was puzzled as the package 'stuck' slightly to her counter top.  She said if felt as if it was magnetic.  Thus the conversation was started.  I took a butterfly down to show her  few days later and she bought that and then ordered a heart.

Oh, must tell you a story.  On Saturday Sally and I were looking through the clothes racks in a local shop and she spotted a nice top.  I pointed out that it had three quarter sleeves to which Sally said that was fine.  Then out of my poor old mouth came - 'hmmm, spose it would be OK for me too as I've only got three quarter arms'.  Never thought about it until a woman nearby burst out laughing.  It's true, though, my arms are short and long sleeved things are always waaaaay too long and fall off the edge!!

I like your red hearted bookmark, just right for Valentine's Day.

Not surprised your arms are short as you do so much tatting and sewing!

Lovely heart just in time for valentines day.
I have short arms too, I think its a tatters thing we have used our hands so much that we wear our arms down.

I have the same problem with sleeves. And trousers. I had a father in law who nicknamed me "Stub" because everything on me is shorter than average. Actually, 3/4 length isn't quite long enough. Same with capri's. They hit a few inches above my ankle, not the just below the knee they should. And I do not have the patience these days to shorten or lengthen things. I've decided I'm old enough to roll up my sleeves and turn up a pants cuff if I want and call it a day!

I just had a thought about the magnets. I seem to remember hearing something once here about not being able to mail magnets in the normal mail, like a letter, because it demagnetized credit cards & debit cards that were mailed out. You had to label it or something. I think I had sent some tatting on a magnet, like a refrigerator magnet, and wondered if they would cuff me and pronounce me to be a "terrorist" for mailing such a thing and messing up the mail!

Ah, Gina. I wrap them up in bubble wrap in a bubble wrap package so I don't think they'd affect the machinery. As the guy I buy them off doesn't wrap them as well as I do I THINK I'm OK!!!! It's a thought, though!!!
I'm the same about shortening things too. Life's too short - YIKES, pun wasn't intended!!!!

It's funny you said you've got three quarter arms! My hubby always says that about me. Now I shan't be angry when he says that again. :D
