Robin, badger and no blips!!!!!!

I wonder if I can explain how I feel about the patterns I do?  It's a bit like having a baby.  Takes months and months to nurture it and carry it around with you (in this case in the mind as well as on the shuttles) and then you get there and it's finished - eureka!!!!

Once it's born (finished!) I then find that I don't want to let it out of my sight for a while.  I can get VERY possessive!!!  Then it becomes a teenager and you can't wait to get rid of it!!!  I actually forget about them too which is why sometimes you see things that I've finished and then they don't appear!!!  Also some go off on trips to other places like the badger and robin.

The robin was taught by Riet at the Palmetto tat days last year (and by changing colours can become a bluebird too - click on the image on the pattern page for a surprise!) and the badger - well he's been lurking around my computer for years in various 'disguises'.  I think he got rather sett in his ways at one point and wouldn't come out of hiding!!! He doesn't have a 3D head in case you were led to believe that by remarks you've seen elsewhere - it's as flat as a pancake.

I've also added the 'no blips' link too.  Seems it's going to be pretty useful!!!  All three pages can be reached from my home page here.

Good Morning Jane! Thank you for sharing your Robin/Bluebird pattern, which I think is adorable. We have lots of Bluebirds here and finally got them to nest in our boxes. So I will definitely be making this one. The Badger pattern is also great. Have a good day!

Of course I am especially drawn to the bluebird :) That's a pattern I will have to try. Thanks also for the "no-blip" instructions - I haven't had a chance to try it, but I will! Those blips drive me crazy.

Guess what, I tried your no-blip technique yesterday and at first it didn't work, but then I decided to try it again and Yeehaw! it worked, sure-as-shootin

oooh Jane, thank you so much for the patterns... all of them! You are so generous. I have been itching to tat the robin/bluebird ever since I discovered your blog before Christmas. During the wait you have kept me busy with the TIAS and sea horse, panda, and several of your hearts and book marks. I am most grateful to you.

Oh what an honour that you mailed the robin-pattern to me before anybody else had it... But it is still lying around - I have not purchased the right colours yet :-(

The Badger, in person, is really beautiful as well as very badger and he lays nice and flat in my Bible! I find if I put my bookmarks from you there, I see them every day during my devotional time. But I LOVE the badger, so unique and I’ve had several compliments at church about him, since he arrived. Although I don’t get to services every Sunday as I once was able to do...Thank you for all of your hard work and the way that you make people feel ‘special’. xxxx P

I have "given birth" many times like you. Unfortunately mine never reach maturity(like yours truly!). If they do I may kill them before they get out of their teens. Hey.....the males of most species do tend to do that because of the dominant order. HAHA
I do like your robin/bluebird pattern. Small and dainty and it has the "conquer the world" attitude about it.

Right now I think I am going to have octuplets!!!!

XOXO SOJ
