Remembering

It's hard to believe that it's two years today since Gina died. She was my buddy for such a long, sweet time.  Although we live thousands of miles apart her quiet humour and patience with me was immeasurable.  A true lady.

I know lots of you have seen this picture before and I was really lucky to take it as we'd spent the whole day together without any cameras being taken out of our bags!! Gina was just leaving (you can see her car keys in her left hand) when I realised and took this one picture.  This was only a few months before her problems started.

Between this picture and her untimely death we spent hours emailing each other and talking about the dreadful fight with the cancer she'd got.  Always, but always Gina was positive so it came as a terrible shock when it won the battle Gina  had so bravely fought.

Miss you, Gina - the TIAS hasn't been the same since you left.  I miss you testing the pattern beforehand.

I love that picture of her - so happy. It's good that we aren't forgetting about her, she cast a long shadow, didn't she? - affecting so many people's lives all over the world.

Thanks for the post, Jane. I've been thinking about Gina for the past week, wondering what day it was that we lost her. Crazy how fast two years has flown by. XXOO Fox

She was a sweet and caring lady. I do miss chatting with her through emails and blog posts, and every time I start a Spinning Wheel glass mat I can see her smile!

Oh this is a very nice picture, and I was not computer minded to talk to her back then I was only able to view, and loved her posts and still view lots of them today.

Gina is pretty much with me in spirit every day, as I still check her blog roll, and I find her blog to be a treasure trove of beautiful and creative tatting, plus
other crafts. With her full time job and family time I was amazed how much she accomplished. She is greatly missed.

I miss her too Jane. She was the one I went to for help, advice or just a giggle. I miss her wisdom and her smile...

I only knew Gina from her blog, but she was always supportive, and shared her knowledge. I think of her often. Thanks Jane.
