Mystery solved

Thanks to Robin the mystery of the 'missing' blog followers has been solved. It was very reassuring to find that I'm not the only one bereft of followers. Although it's a very minor thing the number of followers on the dashboard does give some indication of whether a blog is being useful, boring or whatever.

So this means that if you don't have a Google account and want to follow blogs then you'll just have to get one!!!! OR if it's my blog and you don't want to have a Google account you'll just need to bookmark the page or say 'bye bye'!!!!

Thank you Robin for taking the time to find out what's going on!!

Or they can follow by email or RSS feed ?
I have the email option on my blog. Of course one doesn't know who or how many are following.

I only looked it up because you made a post about it. I would have remained in the dark otherwise. Hope we don't lose too many more, I didn't have much to begin with!

I'm glad you found out for me, Robin. I was beginning to think that the TIAS had caused people to leave the sinking ship!!!

I can see, but I have a "work" one and a everyday one. It used to be fine but it wanted me to input my name instead of initials and suspended my account till I do

Actually I think it's a bad thing that Google are forcing people to have an account with them anyway. So many of the 'giants' are forcing us to do these things that a little rebellion is a good thing. I've never joined in on google + and am wary of getting too involved on Facebook too. All I want is a quiet life doing my own thing.

I think they are trying to make us work harder, by making us jump through hoops and they have a monopoly and set the rules. I have enjoyed the communicating with everyone on the internet I think it save or at least helped save this lost art. At least for a time :) Sometimes I think it is like television it was free for decades and then it is not :(
