There's another rabbit on the TIAS blog. This one has brought along a basket of carrots too. I won't tell you anymore about Christine's rabbit as you can read all about it here.
What I really wanted to tell you is that Christine has started a blog (even though her husband says that she doesn't have time)!!! Good woman - you find time and make your husband wait for his dinner!!! Here's the link to her blog.
Now I know a lot of people are dropping out of the blogging arena and moving over to Facebook. I belong to various tatting groups on Facebook and have a page too but I must admit I try to avoid going onto Facebook as much as possible. Why? Well I find it a confusing place. I go to look at a thread and it's disappeared. When I looked a few minutes before it was 'there' and then, in the blink of an eye, it's gone. I don't like the quick turnover of posts, comments and pictures. I LOVE reading blogs as I feel comfortable in that environment and can take my time. I feel rushed on Facebook where things come and go far too quickly.

I joined Facebook for the patterns; what you have to do is to "like" whatever it is that interests you. Then you can go to your own home page where there's a button to click which will show you all your activity, and you can find your way back. It's the only way I can keep track of things I don't immediately print.
Thanks for the tip, Maureen. I'll try 'liking' more pages but really don't want to spend the time there as it's SUCH a distraction!!!!
I confess I prefer blogs as well, but I try to follow along in Facebook. To me, Facebook is like trying to interact with your friends in the midst of a crowded arena. Blogs seem more cozy. Does that make sense to anyone but me? :D
That's EXACTLY how I feel Eliz. You've put it so well.
It's a generational thing, really - I keep a mobile phone in my car in case of emergencies, but I refuse to be tethered by it, so I haven't become involved with that technology either, I have a camera if I need to take pictures, and I have no interest in playing games on a telephone!
I do like blogs, it really gives me a flavor of the writer and they are specific to my interests. I would never have progressed as far in my tatting without reading and being able to go back to sites, so thank you to all the tatting bloggers. I usually peek into facebook just to see what everyone else is doing.
Thanks for posting the link to my new blog, Jane! Visitors have left lovely comments, and it has been a warm welcome to the tatting blog community. :)
I don't use Facebook... I prefer Ravelry and Pinterest, though they aren't really the same thing.
I have friends in Facebook that aren't particularly interested in my tatting adventures. Those who visit my blog share my interest. As to technology--I love it and I'm into it.
I feel the same as you do about Facebook. I rarely go there now. I like reading blogs, but actually my tatting hangout is Craftree. :-)
