OK so today I'm going to show you really, really ugly tatting.
The story behind this is that one of my son in laws LOVES my tatted Christmas ornaments so requested some for their tree. I've done lots of these sequin dangles for giveaways but he particularly wants red and gold for their tree. (I might add here that I'm not fond of Christmas colours at the best of times!!).
So I've revisited the pattern. The one on the left below is OK but the one on the right (with the green) is really, really ugly. I'm going to make a couple more just to get over the ugly one.

The red and gold one is my favourite the other one won't show up very well against a green tree but they are both really nice and I am sure your son in law will love them. Don't be so hard on yourself. :-)
I hope you don't think I have bad taste by saying this....but I LIKE the green one!
Hi Jane, I do like the red and gold one. I was wondering what brand is the gold thread. It looks so shiny!!
I think it's just me but those two colours together just don't 'do' it for me!!! Carol, the gold thread is one of the only Turkish ones I like. It tats really well.
I'm like a bunch of these other folks -- I think they look really good.
