Now while I'd got the black and white thread out for penguins I decided to 'have a go' at making a panda!!!
Quite a challenge as you can see!!!
Sadly there are a few cuts and ties in this pattern for which I apologise - I don't DO those unless forced to. I like my work to be in one 'hit' from start to finish!!! I'll add the pattern to my pattern page as soon as I get the abbreviations sorted which is my 'unfavouritist' thing to do!!!!
Anyway, here he is both solo and also as a bookmark which was is an order from somebody I shared with as I was working on him.

Oh, he's gorgeous! I don't mind cut-and-tie at all, because I haven't yet come to grips with either split chains or false picots!(but I am brilliant at hiding ends...)
Super cute!
Oh! he is adorable!! Thanks for sharing and I also don't mind a few cuts and ties. He is just too cute!!! You are just amazing to come up with such great patterns :)I know what my next project is going to be!
Adorable Jane!! You are so clever with your animal designs! I'm just loving all your bookmarks. I will be ordering one soon!!
OOH, Jane! A panda! I love it. I just made a baby girl panda which I will post on my blog soon, but that's a different thing. Your panda is really lovely! Can't wait for the pattern. :D
He's gorgeous,

Utterly ursine! They are very cute - like little cartoons that will wiggle any moment.
Fox ; )
Very nice, a true panda!
You never cease to amaze me with your patterns, you have tremendous patience, he/she looks great.
Great Panda! I cut and tie way too much(not by choice)! lol. I still think you need a couple of frogs to round out your bookmark zoo!
Re bit…a frog should be easy peasy after a Panda!
I'm pushing for a lap leopard, but can't figure out why?
LOL

Another winner! I love his little face.
Jane, I'm revisiting your pandas... such cuties! How would they look with their ears slightly shifted to down between 2 chains, instead of sitting on a chain? Just a little thought. ;p
Oh Jane, he is really cute!!!
Thanks for your suggestion, Val. I've taken another look at the panda pictures. I think they're OK where they are cause if I moved them down they'd be at 'eye level'. If you look at this picture (one of those I used) you'll see they are really above the eyes. http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/sports_college_uf/files/2010/06/Panda.jpg. The problem with 'doing' animals is that cartoon interpretations (which is another source I use) often 'conflict' with the real deal!!!!! Difficult getting it right!!! I always, but always welcome suggestions so a big thanks.

Hi Charlette
L'Internet le rend facile pour nous tous de parler les uns aux autres. J'aime la France et a passé beaucoup de bonnes vacances il ya de nombreuses années. Je suis tellement heureux que j'ai pu vous aider aussi. Vive la frivolité!!
