Lanyard

It's always fun at Tat Days seeing people's lanyards.  Martha's were totally amazing last time I was there.  Take a look at these and this.  So I decided I'd have a go at a new lanyard for this year.  This is what I've come up with.

It's surprisingly sturdy too.  Any guesses how I did it?  It's really simple - I promise.  What I like is that it's 'pretty' but doesn't have any beads - which is somewhat unusual for me!!!  I tend to think that something is prettier with beads than without.

Don't worry, though - the lack of beads in yesterday's butterfly and today's lanyard doesn't mean that I'm running out of beads or trying to conserve what I've got - far from it!!!!  This is just the way brain cell 3 is running at the moment - I'm sure he'll be ready to go back to beads soon!!!

Well, I'm going to guess, two shuttles, a single color split ring with lock chains in between the alternating single colored split rings.
I really like it! :o)

this is very unusual, jane. if it's sturdy and has no beads, then it's a welcome idea for me. "D

Hi Jane

Gorgeous colour mix. Strange it looks as though its has loads of beads in it! But of course I can't really magnify it properly.

Very pretty, I think you did split rings, but I could be wrong.

Very net resting, can't wait to find out how you made the rings with three in them

Did you carry three threads along. Doing split rings for some. Actually 6 threads of three colors?

Not split rings as such, Margaret.
Ah, Michelle, not hard at all - I assure you!!!
No, Madtatter - just the two threads and two shuttles.
I will reveal all soon - as soon as I've shown y'all something else done in a similar way!!! I doooo love to tease.

I have a bet!

It's all chains: a few stitches with the blue, then a few lock stitches, then a few with white, all along, and then come back the same way all along... hm, wait, no - that won't work, I am missing the middle bits on the lock chain parts...............

Ok, I'll just have to be patient and wait to see how you did it! You tease!
