May 8th 2006

Yesterday was my anniversary.  Back in 2006 I made my first post and that was quite a big adventure for me.

Thanks to the folks who take the time to read my ramblings and who click on the adverts which generate a small amount of money.  That money funds the pattern pages which are here.

Just out of curiosity I looked at the stats on the site last week and was surprised to find that I'd been so busy!!!

I tend to blog rather than 'do' Facebook as stuff on that platform gets lost in the morass.  If I put things on the blog I can look back and find what I did and when I did it.  Not that I need to often but it's good when I need to.

Sixteen years is an impressive time to have kept up the blog. It takes a lot of discipline to do that. I know I’d miss it if you were ever to stop, and I think you would too!

I’d miss it Maureen as it’s a way of keeping track of myself!!! Thank, Jackie. I sometimes read my blog but usually only when I’m looking for something!!!

You're one of the most influential bloggers for me! Every time I see a pattern with a split ring, I think of you!

Congratulations on your anniversary. Yes, I like blogging as a way of keeping a record. I've read that nothing disappears on Facebook, but I certainly don't know how to find anything on there.

Congrats!!! I appreciate your efforts and accomplishments, a joy to read! And I enjoy your FB walking posts!

I like the blogs better because each person has their own and you can see their work.
Plus, as you said, it kind of keeps a record of what we have done. ;)

I really enjoy your blog. Like Jackie, I look forward to it. I'm very glad you haven't moved to Facebook or one of those other sites - I'm not 'on' any of them, and can't access much of anything on them, even on the 'public' ones.
Thanks for all your work, sharing tatting - and whatever else you've been doing - with us.

I always think of you when I’ve completed a design with split rings, Diane!!! I think and I chuckle!!!

Happy Anniversary! Jane. I really enjoy your blog and your writing. So glad you're here and not on FB, too, because after that nonsense with our information I dumped it! So, hope you keep on rocking. I love your work, the tatting, sewing, and recently, the beautiful bowls! Yeah, Jane!

Jane, I am a slacker and don't follow your blog as well as I should. That said when I do get a chance I try to catch up on what you have been doing and it is always interesting. Hugs.
